Mergers and Acquisitions

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) mark a significant step in expanding and diversifying the international business. The new business model will trigger the need for HR due diligence, M&A integration and a HR transformation with specific focus to  strengthen HR strategy to retain key talent.  The M&A journey will drive the structure of the new organization, compensation strategy and incentive schemes, grading system, performance management, relocation program, benefits program, talent management, change management and communication as well as HR system, etc.

The new HR programs should not cherry pick nor simply adopt either company’s  system due to different business nature and culture .  The new systems should enable accommodating legacies from both sides and to avoid potential obstacles for further realignment.

With the set up of the new business platform, the current HR strategy, programs and systems need to be transformed to reflect the new business strategy and nature. Below are some areas of focus in the first 12 months:
