The theme of this year was “How HR should transform in a VUCA world” to explore how HR manages VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) to drive transformation in the new year. Our Managing Partner, Ms. May Poon has provided professional insights on how to manage performance in a VUCA world and practical tips on harnessing data to navigate through volatility. Moreover, Ms. Kate Lai from KPMG provided useful information about the impacts of individual tax reform on cross-border employees and some related case studies. The inspiring contexts of the Roundtable have received very positive feedback from the participants.

​​Pretium conducted the Year-end Rewards and Human Resource Trends Sharing Session on November 16, 2016 with the theme of “Reinforcing Partnership & Innovation”.  Partnership and Innovation has become the new frontier to manage uncertainties and increase competitive edge. Our Managing Partner, Ms. May Poon shared professional insights on how to strengthen partnership through incentive programs as well as applying Big Data in Pay Review and Innovation in other HR Strategies. Mr. Mike Baker from Global Shares shared how technology enables equity compensation around the world and Ms. Elaine Wong shared the market trends in engagement practices.  The sharing has captured very positive feedback from the participants.

Riding on the success last year, Pretium conducted the Year-end Rewards and Human Resource Trends Sharing Session on November 27, 2015. Similar to last year, our Partner, Ms May Poon shared professional insights on human resources trends in the financial services industry. This included business performance and bonus expectation, LTI application, talent management as well as benefit trends. Pretium Year-end Reward & Performance Trends Study and Sharing 2013 & 2014

In the past two years, Pretium successfully held the Year-end Rewards and Performance Trends Sharing Sessions in late November. During the sharing sessions, our Partner, May Poon shared the holistic findings from our Year-end Reward & Performance Trends Study each year, which included business performance, salary projection, bonus movements, headcount change and staffing trend as well as regulatory impact on compensation. The sharing sessions were well received by the participants which included a mix of local and international firms.
